My working school is located in Sham Shui Po district and there are many special spots such as Golden Centre, Apliu Street, Lei Cheng Uk Han Tomb Museum, etc. Teachers can design projects about these spots for students with the use of the mobile technology e.g. Aris project, Mediascapes, etc. For example, for students of junior levels, trails can be designed for students to explore. For students of senior levels, projects can be designed that students develop their own trails and produce digital products or students being reporters to introduce the districts with web 2.0 tools.
1. How should schools take advantage of the affordances of Mobile Learning? (Neo's share)
The school education usually takes the form of classroom learning/teaching, in which ITC devices can only function as the catalyst of improving education quality. However, if school educators focus more on the students’ final learning result, but not classroom performance, they can provide students many more learning opportunities outside school through mobile learning, and finally improve their school performance.
